Dodol takes eight hours of stirring in a copper kawah. Rice flour, coconut milk, palm sugar and, in season, durian from the orchard behind the house.
It is the sweet every family makes once a year before Raya. Mak Teh makes it every Saturday.
Their batch day is Saturday. We collect on Thursday and pack on Friday, so what you order this week was made this week.
